Lamont's Laments "The Way We Were"

"The Way We Were"

Classic Gladys Knight

I was chatting with Lisa (2 0f 2) last night and she was striving to get a copy of another Gladys track. I didnt have that one, but I have this on vinyl. If any of you remember "Cant it Be All So Simple" from the WuTang Clan, then you have heard a snippet of this song. Since Im on the subject of music, Im fed up with the current trends of hip-hop. Maybe its just Colorado. I went to 3 different music shops saturday morning looking for a new release, and couldnt find what I was looking for. You should see and hear some of the crap they're releasing right now. I ended up getting De La Soul's 1994 "Buhloone Mind State"...we might blow up but we wont go pop. Picked up a Blue Note Records sampler of new jazz artists. If you find a SOULIVE release, GET IT! After "The Renaissance" Im working on an all instrumental full length. Ive also been tasked to do another 124 remix for a local group. Apparently, I have a tape of my tracks floating around the city, and Ive been unofficially named one of Colorado Springs Top 5 underground producers. Whoopee.

Malice, make sure to tell the leader of that band that he has a good ear.

Trevor, so were you serious about GT being Q-Tip's first cousin all this damned time? Remember when Tip came to Montgomery to hang out with his aunt in 93?

I was fanaticizing about Malice at work the other day, when I saw this headline on CNN about Mississippi and the confederate flag vote they had earlier this week. I, of course, expressed my distaste for the thing, when one of my co workers stated that he was glad that they voted not to change the look of the flag, that it represented heritage. Of course, I had to let him have it. The state flag is a visual representation of the state, and this is my opinion. And not one to impose my opinion on anyone, Im not a Christian.

I volunteered to serve as a mentor for a couple of School District 11 kids. Now we're going to have the second generation 124ians.

Last Friday I got booty call.

Booti: Lamont, what are you doing?
the124: Fanaticizing about Kim.
Booti: Who's Kim?
the124: Dont worry about it, you dont need the stress, wassup?
Booti: I need some good sex.
the124: Then why are you calling me?
Booti: Quit being silly. Come through.
the124: Ok, I'll be over in 15 minutes.

.........that was about 2214 minutes ago.

Went to the strip club (for Bridget: "the scrip clubb") this weekend for the first time in my life. Naked women everywhere, and they all couldnt fit into the Integra. This made me upset. Observed several cats getting lap dances and thought to myself, "Hell No". I had to control myself from laughing. Wont be going back. Although this puts the Malice and Morrison pole dancing thing into a different perspective.

As of Wednesday, Coltrane will be on the Internet 24/7. Last week I finally got DSL up and running...if you want to catch me online Im on ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, and AIM at the same time through this Linux software called EVERYBUDDY.

ICQ 115097930
MSN demancey
AIM backyardsole
YAHOO heye124 (soon)

Speaking of Linux and why M\\$ Windoze sucks, I posted a screenshot of Coltrane on one of the Linux Users websites last night. This morning I had about 10 emails from cats wanting to know if I was one of the females listed in that picture file I was working on. Basically, they all wanted Malice, Donna, and Alina to enter the 2nd Annual Sexiest Geek Alive Contest, assuming I was one of the 3.

Sorry Mal, Donna, and Alina, but the 3 of you are now contestants.

Had to call my sister.
Sister124: Hello?
the124 : Wassup girl?
Sister124: Hey.....shouldnt you be in jail or a straightjacket?
Sister124: You know you missed your mothers birthday
the124 : Yea. I thought it was next month.
Sister124: You a sorry ass man.
the124 : You love me though
Sister124: Who told you that?
the124 : I called her. How's my nephew?
Sister124: Ok, walking and talking back. I dont understand what he's saying but I know he's talking shhh.
the124 : Just like his uncle.
Sister124: Lucky me.

I almost bought an Infinity Q45 yesterday.

New Book: The Broke Diaries.

Written by 124ian Angela "demancey got GIMP" Dissel (she helped me out when I had problems coding JazzeCafe). The best way to describe this book would be to say that its the female version of Lamonts Laments.....although I think my stuff is funnier. Of course, I think GOD has a Lamont-Complex, so go figure. BDX thinks she's the best thing since scrambled eggs. And thanks to the 124, she now knows it.

She's no Nicole J. (2 of 2) though
